Fabric Bottom Booties

I am ready to try a new structure for the top of the baby shoe, but I am really pleased with the fabric bottom. The technique is extremely simple and it works very well. So far so good. I want to try more of a sock type top, or traditional booty, but I am not sure how to best make it work, since it needs to be from the bottom up. Well, that is what's in the hopper today.

In other project news, I have started yet another rug. There is just something irresistible about the knit loops, I just can't stop. I was initially thinking potholder, but the texture was too thick, and I liked the colors too well to stop, so I think it will be a little rug for my girls room.

I Love them! haha! and I found your blog! :) I've really liked having mine, I get to show my mom stuff and I can look back at what I've done, and actually feel like I have something to show for my days... besides older children. Anywho, keep up the crafty work! I just drew out my plans for 2 advent calendars... now I just have to ignore that laundry a bit longer and make them!

Thanks for the Mom advice - maybe that means Leo is about to walk :)

Okay, so this isn't a bootie comment (thought I really like them). Rather, just now my co-worker and I were lamenting that your shop is no more . . . as we waxed sentimental over our "BV" mugs--the favorite mug for each of us we also listed off our favorite purchases there.
okay . . . back to work, or rather elevensies and tea in my big red mug:)

Hi Rachel,
I just happened to look over at your blog, and just wanted to tell you (but you already knew!) your little ones are so adorable! They have the kind of baby smiles that remind you the world is a marvelous place after all. Nice job! (o:
